Former Deputy Mayor of Jammu, BS Billawaria today among individuals and organizations paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in a function organized by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation and supported by Jewel Bazaar Traders Association at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, here today.
A free Ayurvedic Medical camp was organized by Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu benefitting around 600 during the day-long activities.
Besides Deputy Mayor, Padamshree Dr. SP Verma paid tributes to the martyrs saying that the contribution in the freedom struggle was most important and decisive. Brij Mehra, president All India Kashyap Maha Sabha J&K branch asked the JMC for a statue at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk.
Veteran hockey enthusiast, Jaswinder Singh Kuku and Sunil Dimple, Swarn Singh Chib and Neeraj Gupta were among other prominent present.
Earlier, Dr Taran Singh, president of the Foundation said, “The Foundation pay tributes to the martyrs since last35 years with the cooperation and support of individuals and organization at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk.
He thanked Director Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) J&K, especially Medical Superintendent of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu for extending support in organizing free Ayurvedic medical camp. Dr Dilawar (MD), Harshwardan, Mayank, Saksham and Raghav actively organized the camp.
In the meantime, Advocate Kamal Gupta, general secretary Jewel Bazaar Traders Association thanked Rajeev Sharma, vice president of the Foundation; Dinesh Gupta, member executive Red Cross; Harbans Singh and Brij Mehra for the support.
