The government schools inDistrict Doda of Jammu and Kashmir conducted monthly parent-teacher meetings toget feedback and suggestions from parents regarding their children’s education,here.
Chief Education Officer (CEO),Parkash Lal Thapa said the move was aimed at improving the education system andthe well-being of students. The parent-teacher meetings have become a regularfeature in government schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Every month, schoolsconduct the meetings, in which academic-related issues as well as mentalhealth, health and hygiene, and personal development and well-being of studentsare being deliberated upon” he said.
Schools of District Doda conducted parent-teachermeetings on the theme ‘Role of Parents in prevention of Drug Abuse among Schoolgoing Students’ along with routine academic activities, enrollment drive,academic performance gained by the students in the examination.
The main focus is to gearup maximum enrollment in the schools during the academic year 2024.
Besides, the students wereencouraged to sign and submit the Anti-Drug Declaration Form to the Head ofInstitutions concerned for onward submission.
