Government Degree College,Kakryal in Katra, in collaboration with NSS unit, N-Cord, IQAC, Red Ribbon Cluborganised seminar on the theme ‘Teachers as Nation Builders: A Tribute to Dr.S. Radhakrishnan’.

The event was conducted topay homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India, eminentphilosopher, and great teacher, whose birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Dayacross the Nation.

The seminar was conductedunder the able guidance of the Principal of the college, who emphasized on thesignificance of Teacher’s Day and encouraged the students to participate in theevent.

Speakers who deliveratedon the importance of the day were Sakshi, Shivani, Manesh (all 5th semester),Pallavi and Anuradha (both 3rd semester).

They reflected on Dr.Radhakrishnan’s contributions as a philosopher and statesman and reiterated theimportance of adopting his ideals in today’s education system.

They expressed theirgratitude towards their mentors and acknowledged the guiding role teachers playin personal and national development.
