SRINAGAR, Dec 21: The twodays District Srinagar Athletics Championship concluded at Gindun GroundRajbagh, here under the banner of J&K Amateur Athletics Association.

The event held infinancial support with J&K Sports Council. Around 200 athletes (both boysand girls) participated in this championship.

In the prize distributionfunction, SDPO Kothibagh, Tanushree was the chief guest. Others present wereMushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Manager Gindun Ground), Sajjad Ahmad (SHO Kothibagh),Sameer Ahmad (SHO Ragbagh) and organising secretary, Reyaz Ahmad Dar.

The chief Guest lauded theefforts of the organizers in successfully organizing the meet. She said thatmore young boys and girls should participate in such events and excel.

BOYS: Under-14:600 mtrs: Obaid Rashid, 1st; Imran Mushtaq, 2nd and Mohd Quaid, 3rd.Under-16: 800 mtrs: Aaqib Hameed, Ist; Shahnawaz Suliman, 2nd andAasif Yousaf, 3rd. Under-18: 800 mtrs: Zubair Ahmad, Ist; Nazir Ali,2nd and Shabir Ahmad Sofi, 3rd. 1500 mtrs: Sahil Bashir,Ist; Muntazir Mehraj, 2nd and Shabir Ahmad, 3rd. 400 mtrs:Sahil Bashir, Ist; Zubair Ahmad, 2nd and Aadil Bashir, 3rd.

GIRLS: Under- 16: 300 mtrs:Sara Naqsh, Ist; Insha Manzoor, 2nd and Mahreen Mushtaq, 3rd.800 mtrs:

WOMEN: Under-20: 200 mtrs:Iqra Mushtaq, Ist; Ifshana Ashraf, 2nd and

Tahreen Hameed, 3rd.400 mtrs: Aadil Fayaz, Ist; Muzin Qadir, 2nd and Niyaz Najer, 3rd.400 mtrs: Iqra Mushtaq, Ist; Ifshana Ashraf, 2nd and Misbah Nasir, 3rd.

MEN: Open: 400 mtrs: SuhailNissar, Ist; Mohd Aaqib, 2nd and Muzamil Ashraf. 200 mts: SuhailNissar, Ist; Aasif Ali Bhat, 2nd and Mudasir Bhat, 3rd. 1500mtrs: Muneer Ahmad, Ist; Muzamil Hussain, 2nd and Suhail Farooq, 3rd.5000 mtrs: Muneer Ahmad, Ist; Muzamil Hussain, 2nd and Suhail Farooq,3rd.
