Shooting talent hunt begins in Udhampur

The inaugural day of theUdhampur City Shooting Club Talent Hunt Contest turned out to be a resoundingsuccess with the identification of promising marksmen.

The multi-day initiative,spearheaded by the Udhampur City Sports Academy, in collaboration with theUdhampur District Rifle Association, aims to foster the growth of shootingsport within the Udhampur district and unearth hidden talent.

 

100 students’ target

Over the coming days,approximately 100 students from both genders in the age group between 14 yearsand 18 years shall participate in the contest from various schools of Udhampurtown.

Following the conclusionof the talent hunt, the most proficient shooters will be granted theopportunity to qualify for the upcoming inter-school competition to beorganized by the Udhampur City Sports Academy in collaboration with theUdhampur District Rifle Association.

 

16 boys, girls learnbasics

As many as 16 Shooters (beginners)taught basic skills, safety rules, handling of weapon and use of ammunition for.177 calibre Pistol and Rifle events. All these young shooters belong to HappyModel Higher Secondary School and AO Convent Udhampur.
