Jammu and Kashmir AmateurKabaddi Association today flagged off the UT team for participation in the 70thSenior National Championship to be held at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra from March21 to March 24.

The team was given sendoff by general secretary of the Association, Kuldeep Gupta, who encouraged theplayers and wished them improved performance. He informed that the team issponsored by the J&K Sports Council (JKSC) as part of the annual calendar ofactivities.

Gupta expressed his thanksto the District Udhampur Kabaddi Association for hosting the first ever coachingcamp for the senior team at Indoor complex of the Subash Stadium.

Before the formal sendoff, the team underwent screening which was conducted under the guidance ofDivisional Sports Officer of the JKSC, Baljinder Pal Singh and concernedofficials at the district.

Earlier, the team presentedthe sports kit by former Director Sports at SMVD University and SMVD SportsComplex Katra, Ashok Kumar in the presence of Vikas Dogra, Manager SubashStadium; former general secretary of the Association, Surinder Mohan; DistrictUdhampur president, Tanveer Ahmed and Vishal Bamotra.

Meanwhile, president ofthe Association, Anil Gupta conveyed his warm wishes to the team and officialsfor improved performance.
