Semifinals position hasbeen cleared with top four teams from the league round qualifying for the lastfour knockout stages in the two-day District Reasi Volleyball Championship, organisedby Reasi District Volleyball Associationin collaboration with J&K Sports Council at General Zorawar Singh Stadium,here.
Now, in the semifinals,slated for tomorrow, Arnas Club shall take on Bakal Club while Mamma Club hasbeen pitted against Sajroo Club.
Earlier, the event was declaredopen by Iftiqar Ahemed Qureshi, Additional SP Reasi. He interacted with theparticipating teams. In total, 12 teams drawn from Sajroo, Bhomag, Arnas,Kanjali,Jjudda, Bakal and Dharmari turned up for the annual event, a handout issuedby the Association here today informed.
The chief guest recalledthe contributions of outstanding volleyball players of J&K, Saqlain Tariqand Mannat Choudhary.
Among others present were KuldeepMagotra (CEO), VK Magotra (general secretary) and Akbar Ali (secretary) andYash Paul.
Today’s matches officiatedby the technical penal including Manjyot Singh, Jamrot and Karan Rajput.
