Abhishek Jamwal, a NationalGames Wushu gold medal winner has been selected in the Indian squad for participationin the World Cup qualifying event in Jiangshu (China) slated from April 21.

Wushu Association of India(WAI) conducted selection trial for the finalisation of the Indian Wushu teamfor the sent event at Haridwar, wherein he (Abhishek) defeated his opponents andimpressed the selection committee. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) hascleared the Indian Wushu team for the said event at cost to the government.  Abhishek Jamwal has a number of medals to hiscredit.

The WAI shall conductselection trials in the month of May for the BRICS Games scheduled to be heldin Kazan (Russia) and 10th Asian Wushu Championship to be held at Macau in the monthof September.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Handoo(Dronacharya Awardee) congratulated Abhishek and wished all the very best tohim. He thanked J&K Sports Council for the support. Vijay Saraf (president)and Bhavneet (general secretary) of the Association also complimented AbhishekJamwal for selection.
