: Prominent sports promoter of twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, Mohd Tariq presented Shan e Peer Panjal Award by the Indian Army on 78th Rajouri Day today.
Tariq was lauded for guiding the youth of the region towards constructive activities of sports and fitness and dedicated efforts to promote Volleyball among the rural folk of the border districts.
An international coach, who holds the post of treasurer in the Volleyball Association of J&K, Tariq was presented the award by General Officer Commanding Ace of Spades Division.
The Award citation mentioned about the selfless services by Tariq towards the welfare of people of Peer Panjal region of the UT of J&K and efforts to promote unity among the different sections of the society.
