In a proud milestone for Jammu and Kashmir's sports fraternity, ace trainer Sunny Verma has been officially appointed as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) Senior Men's North East Camp. 

Scheduled from April 20 to May 14, 2026, at Ranchi, Jharkhand, the camp underscores BCCI's commitment to nurturing elite talent from the North East region.

The appointment letter, issued by VVS Laxman, Head of Cricket at BCCI-CoE, directs Sunny Verma to report to Ranchi on April 19, 2026. It also requires him to promptly submit his ticketing and clothing details to facilitate seamless logistics for the high-intensity training program.

Sunny Verma's selection is a testament to his proven expertise and transformative impact on cricketing fitness. He brings invaluable experience from accompanying the Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy team during the triumphant 2025-26 season, where his rigorous conditioning regimens played a pivotal role in the side's historic triumph as national champions—the first such feat for the union territory.
