Wrestler Nishant of Punjab won the 44th International Salora Dangal beating Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police in a tough contest for the title bout that took place at Salora, here.
Winner Nishant was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 90,000 while runners-up Lallu presented Rs 60,000. The second main bout clinched by Iranian wrestler, Hamid, who beat Parveen of Delhi. Hamid got Rs 60,000 prize money and Parveen given away Rs 40,000.
In another second main bout, with having same prize money tag, Uttam Rana of Uttar Pradesh defeated Benia Min of J&K Police. In another interesting bout, Iranian wrestler, Irfan (Rs 60,000) beat Baba Fareed (Rs 40,000).
Prominent Iranian wrestler, Haudi (Rs 60,000) made it a convincing victory against Nadeem (Rs 40,000) of Doda in yet another closely contested bout.
In total, 61 bouts took place in this expensive dangal with having higher prize money bouts. Other Results: Billu of Hossiarpur beat Naisarof Doda; Surjit Singh of Reasi beat Raffi of Hossiarpur; Love Preet of Khanna beat Rishu of Kathua; Thappa of Doda beat Sarkar Noor of UP and Mam Hussian of Domel beat Ladu of Patiala.
Social activist, Swarn Singh Rathore was the chief guest while Shiv Kumar Sharma, president Indian Style Wrestling Association of J&K presided over the prize distribution function.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Benam Tosh and president Yuva Rajput Sabha, Dilwar Singh were the guests of honour.

Dangal was organized by Salora Kesari Dangal Committee in coordination with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Dangal committee president, Rajinder Kumar Ramotra, Arun Ramotra (Punny), and Ashok Kumar in coordination with members, Sham Lal, Ahmed Deen, Nek Ram, Vijay Kumar, Gopal Krishan, Deepak Sharma, Shubu Ramotra, Mohinder Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Ajeeta Thappa and Karnail Singh.
