The Post Graduate (PG) Departments of University of Jammu (JU) secured 20 points to bag the overall championship trophy in the annual inter-college (men) Gatka competition which held under the banner of Directorate of Sports, JU at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here today.

Dr. Manmeet Singh, chairman J&K Gatka Association was the chief guest while Ravinder Singh, president was guest of honor, who felicitated the medal winners in the presence of Physical Directors of the participating Colleges, Prof. Baljinder Kour, Ajaz Malik, Dr. Rupali Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Gulshan Sharma.

FARI SOTI INDIVIDUAL:Sehajveer Singh (PG JU), Gold; Sarabjeet Singh (GDC RS Pura), Silver; Maninder Singh (MBS College) and Adhiraj Singh (GDC Kunjwani), Bronze.

SINGLE SOTI INDIVIDUAL:Rajveer Singh (Dogra Degree College), Gold; Kanavjot Singh (GDC Kathua),Silver; Jashanpreet Singh (Bhargwa Degree Samba) and Harbajan Singh (GDC Nowshera), Bronze.

FARI SOTI TEAM: PG JU(Onkar Singh, Sarabjot Sing and Sehajveer Singh), Gold; GDC Samba (Lakhvinder Singh, Mandeep Singh and Roopinder Singh), Silver; GDC RS Pura (Jagmeet Singh, Sarvjeet Singh, Hardeep Singh) and GDC Kunjwani (Ansh Sharma, Jaskaran Singh, Harmandeep Singh and Rizwan Ahmed Lodhi), Bronze.

SINGLE SOTI TEAM: GDC Kathua Team (Kanavjot Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Diljeet Singh),Gold; Dogra Degree College (Bhavneek Singh, Rajveer Singh, Tejveer Singh and Ramanjot Singh), Silver; GDC Kunjwani (Simranjeet Singh, Japneet Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Simarpreet Singh) and GDC Nowshera (Harbhajan Singh, Harkirat and Tajinder Singh), Bronze.

The matches officiated by the technical panel including Ravinder Singh, Samarpal Singh, Lovpreet Singh, Simrandeep Kour, Parvinder Kour, Mandeep Singh, Rupinder Singh and Gurshish Singh under the technical supervision of Padam Dev Singh (Hockey Coach).

The event took place under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, JU.
