Kreeda Bharati Jammu and Kashmir today celebrated Hanuman Jayanti across the Union Territory by holding gatherings at district level.

The main event took place at S D Sabha School in Jammu wherein IPS officer, Ranjit Kanwal was special guest. Among other prominent were senior vice president, RC Vaid; secretary, Ashutosh Sharma and joint secretary, Raj Kumar.

A number of former and present Handball players and trainees of the Arun Sharma Academy as also Jammu Kreeda Kendra attended the foundation day function. R C Vaid presented a brief note of the activities of the Kreeda Bharati and its annual events.

Hanuman Jayanti also celebrated at Maha Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir Public School Reshamgarh Colony, here. Principal, Prem Lata Bali and retired ZEPO, R C Vaid spoke on the importance of the day to the students attending the special gathering.

Similar functions organized by the district units of the Kreeda Bharati at Poonch, Udhampur and Samba. At Poonch, young students were presented stationary material and books while handball players offered prayers at Mini Stadium, Udhampur.
