Jammu and Kashmir Kabadditeams today left for participation in the Ist Youth National KabaddiChampionship which will be held at Haridwar in Uttrakhand from June 28 to JulyIst.
The teams were given awarm send off by Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K, BalKrishan (JKAS), who was chief guest on the occasion.
The chief guest alsopresented sports kits to both boys and girls teams as also the officialsaccompanying them. He was all praise forthe J&K Kabaddi Players Cooperative Society for encouraging the youngtalent and extending them a helping hand.
“Both boys and girls teams have been sponsored by the J&KKabaddi Players Cooperative Society Limited for maiden participation in theYouth Nationals under the aegis of J&K Sports Council (JKSC), informedgeneral secretary of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Kuldeep KumarGupta.
In the meanwhile, the JKSCconducted screening of the teams in the presence of office bearers of theAssociation.
Among other prominentpresent were Anil Modi (treasurer), S. S. Gill (technical director), InderjeetSharma, Sanjeet Kumar, Ajay Gupta (Incharge Kabaddi Stadium), Ajit Singh, ManikSharma, Mohd Amin and Nisha Rani.
In the meantime, presidentof the Association, Anil Gupta conveyed his wishes to the teams and officials forimproved performance. In his message, AnilGupta said that team winning a medal at the upcoming event shall be rewardedwith a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 and a grand reception party.
