The J&K Taekwondo team today left for participation in the 39th National Sub Junior Kyorugi and 14th National Sub Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships scheduled to be held from January 13 to January 15 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

Before their departure,the team was screened by the J&K Sports Council in the presence of Divisional Sports Officer (DSO), Iqbal Singh at MA Stadium, here.

The DSO also interacted with the players and appreciated their dedication and discipline. He wished the team success in the upcoming event.

Among other prominent present were Anuj Sharma, joint secretary, J&K Taekwondo Association(JKTA), and Atul Pangotra, International Taekwondo player and coach, who motivated the young athletes and encouraged them to represent J&K with pride and sportsmanship.

The team is accompanied by Amit Kumar, Syed Ashiq Hussain, and Kausar Jaan as officials (coaches and manager).

The Team: Boys: Shivaay Gupta, Abhay Partap, Divyansh Khametra, Yakshit Thakur, Mirgesh Spolia, Samrat Singh, Syed Kashif Hussain, Rehaan Gupta, Tajdeep Singh.  Girls: Rudrakshi, Saavi Sharma, Pranshi Sharma, Syed Imrat Jaan, Kiana Upadhyaya and Namanya Varma.
