Jammu and Kashmir were struggling with wickets lost on regular intervals on day-two play at 150 for six in reply to Pondicherry’s first innings total of 233 in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group-Datch at Siechem Stadium, Pondicherry today.
J&K still need 83 runs to match the opponent total with four wickets in hand. Resuming their innings J&K lost wickets at regular intervals and were struggling at 150 before bad light forced the umpires to stop play.
Abdul Samad at the crease with 40 off 57 balls, while Abid Mushtaq was unbeaten on one. Shubham Khajuria played cautiously and scored 46 runs, while Kanhaiya Wadhawan contributed 30 runs and Dikshant Kundal added 17 off 93 balls with three boundaries.
From Pondicherry, Sagar PUdeshi and Gaurav Yadav took two wickets each, while Puneet Datey and Aman Khan claimed one wicket each.
Earlier, on day-1, led by the duo of Sunil Kumar and Yudhvir Singh, J&K bowlers restricted Pondicherry to a modest 233 in their first innings.
