Promising fencers fromJ&K, Shreya Gupta and Kritarthi Kotwal were part of the Indian team which wonBronze medal in Sabre team event in the ongoing Commonwealth Fencing Championshipat London.

Indian team, comprising ShreyaGupta, Krikarthi Kotwal, Abi Devi Laishram and Baby Reddy defeated Wales in premedal bout comfortable by a margin of 45-37. In the semifinals, Indian teamsuffered defeat in the hands of England 34-45.

For Bronze medal match, Indiadefeated Scotland 45-37. Fencers Shreya Gupta and Abi Devi won accolades for theirexcellent performance in the match.

Meanwhile, president,J&K Amateur Fencing Association, M J Sharma congratulated the young Fencersfor their performance and hoped they will keep flag of India high atinternational level.
