As many as five youngKarate players of Jammu cleared the belt grading test which was conducted bythe Renmei Gojuryu Karate Do Federation of India.
While two players passedthe Black belt test and other three qualified for the Yellow belt. The successfulplayers were Kartik Verma, Pranav (Black belt), Arnav Yadav, Vishnavi andTaresha (all Yellow belt).
All of them (players) presentedthe qualification certificates in a simple event held at Dilkhush indoorfacility within Army Cantonment in Nagrota, here.
The belt grading testconducted under the supervision of Shihan Sanjeev Dewan, chief instructor Indiaand also joint secretary of All India Karate Do Federation (AIKF). SanjeevDewan is also 6th Degree Black belt RGKFI and founder member ofAIKF.
Among others present atthe award ceremony were Abhijeet Paul, Nk Dhirendra Kumar Yadav, Nk S K Rai andHav Ram Lal.
"It is our endeavor to promote the beautiful game of Karate among youngsters. The belt grading system is among many initiatives being taken to engage youth in sports," said Sanjeev Dewan.
