The Jammu and Kashmir Kalarippayattu team gave an improved performance in the inaugural Khelo India National Kalarippayattu League, which held at the Indoor Sports Complex, LNCPE,Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The prestigious national-level event was organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in collaboration with the Indian Kalarippayattu Federation involving teams from 17 States and Union Territories.
A contingent of eight talented players from J&K represented the Union Territory and gave an improved performance. The team was accompanied by Danish Sharma.
Meanwhile, as per a handout issued by the Association, here today, among the best performers were Adarishta Manhas and Anandika, who delivered performed well in the Long Staff Fight and Swordand Shield event. Manvi Sharma and Vasundhara Chib displayed confidence and versatility by performing strongly inthe Long Staff Fight, Sword Shield and Urumivesshal events.
Himanshu Barwalla gavetough competition in the Chuvadukal and Long Staff Fight events, while Ankush Thakur impressed in the Long Staff Fight and High Kick events. Vinay Kumar showcased good skills in the Long Staff Fight and Sword and Shield events. Naman Wazir performed exceptionally well in Meippayattu, Long Staff Fight, and Sword and Shield events.
