In a moment forever etched in Indian cricket's golden annals, the Jammu and Kashmir scripted cricketing immortality today, clinching the Ranji Trophy with a commanding victory over mighty Karnataka in the final at the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Ground in Hubli, Karnataka.

This epochal feat has set the Union Territory ablaze with unbridled joy, uniting millions from Kashmir's snow-capped valleys to Jammu's rugged hills in a surging wave of pride. The players' grit, resilience, and unyielding spirit transformed improbable dreams into destiny, against all odds.

Adding to the triumph's luster, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, BCCI President Mithun Manhas, Brig. Anil Gupta (Member-Administration, JKCA), and other dignitaries graced the victory.

Back in Jammu, an electrifying celebration unfolded at JKCA Headquarters, alive with the rhythmic beats of dhol.

It took 67 years, since J&K's Ranji debut in the 1959–60 season, for this maiden title. The team secured the glittering silver trophy on first-innings lead after drawing the final. Led  by Paras Dogra, J&K dismantled domestic giants Karnataka on the home turf. After a top-class first-innings 584, they bowled Karnataka out for 293 with pacer Aaqib Nabi starring with five for 54 in 93.3 overs.

Resuming Day five at 186 for four, Qamran Iqbal (160*from 94 overnight) and Sahil Lotra (101*) forged magnificent centuries, pushing J&K to 342 for four making the overall lead 633 runs when captains shook hands post-lunch.

This batting masterclass crowned a dominance that echoes through generations, inspiring every aspiring cricketer in the region.

Meanwhile, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Singh and a galaxy of dignitaries congratulated J&K team for this remarkable achievement.
