Hansraj wins Athletics Bronze for J&K in Tribal Games

: Hansraj of Jammu and Kashmir won Bronze medal in long distance race of the Athletics event in the Ist Khelo India Tribal Games on the concluding day today at Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh.

Hanraj finished third in the 10,000 meters race. Selection Grade Constablewith J&K Police, Hanraj belongs of Tehsil Billawar in district Kathua. ACross Country runner from J&K, Hansraj belongs to the Gadhi tribes.

The J&K teams in Athletics, Wresting and Weightlifting are taking part in the Khelo India Tribal Games under the banner of J&K Sports Council (JKSC).

With Wrestling team already won the overall runners up trophy securing seven medals, the Athletics team excelled with bronze this morning.

 “The success is a collective effort backed by strong support and guidance from the dedicated support staff,” said Suraj Bhan Singh talking to SAN.

The Athletics team of the J&K is accompanied by the senior coach, Gurcharan Singh while Rajesh Kumar is team manager.

Meanwhile, the Secretary JKSC, Nuzhat Gul called on the CDM Suraj Bhan Singh and congratulated him and entire contingent for the brilliant performance.
