Gourav becomes first BFR trainer in J&K

Gourav Sharma of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) has become first qualified BFR Trainer in Jammu and Kashmir.

With Diploma in Sports(Handball) from NIS, Gourav has successfully done level  1 and level 2 of the course at Indian National Strength and Conditioning Association (INSCA) Chennai.

With the award of title of Blood Flow Occlusion (BFR) Training Provider, Gourav has passed the practitioner examination.

During his training at Chennai, Gourav covered basics of exercise physiology, physiology of BFOT and hypertrophy, indication contraindication and cautions as also application methods for upper and lower limbs. It also covered advanced sports training and recovery protocols.
