Guru Nanak Hockey Club(GNHC) today lifted the 11th Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub-Junior Men’s Hockey Championship Trophy at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today.
In the final, GNHC defeated Badal Hockey Club 4-2. Down by two goals, GNHC fought back in the last two quarters to snatch the victory. Karan (42nd), Daksh (46thand 53rd) and Harmandeep (47th) scored for the winning GNHC. From Badal Club, Sukhpreet (16th ) and Varun (20th ) were the scorers. Mohd Altmash was declared man of the match.
The event was organized bythe Shaheed e Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation in collaboration with Hockey J&Kinvolving seven teams on knockout basis.

Jaswinder Kour (vice president)and Robin Singh (executive member) of Hockey J&K; Joga Singh, TejinderSingh, Satvir Singh (ex IAF coach), Charanjit Singh (ex JKP Hockey coach),Manjit Singh, Janak Singh, Rajinder Singh Raja, Beant Singh, Gurdeep Singh, ParamjitSingh, Ravinder Singh were among those prominent present.
The final officiated bythe technical penal including Kirandeep Singh and Sahil Kumar as umpires; Geetaand Saksham as scoring judge and technical officer and Minakshi as timing judge.
Meanwhile, the organisersextended thanks to J&K Sports Council and Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammuthe support.
