The Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua bagged the men’s inter-college Kabaddi trophy of the annual tournament, which was organized by the Department of Sports, University of Jammu at the Gymnasium, Hall on the campus, here today.

In the final, GDC Kathua defeated MIET College by a margin of 15 points with final score being 52–37. The third place went to PG Departments, JU beating GDC Bhaderwah 13–10.

The title trophy presented to the winning side of GDC Kathua by Director Sports, JU, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba. He emphasized the significant role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, physical fitness, leadership qualities and sportsmanship among students.

Among other prominent present were Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Jai Bharat, Sandeep Sharma and Sukomal Ganguly.

The final officiated by the technical penal including Anil Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Harpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Prajwal Slathia, Ashfaq Hussain and Gagan Kumar.
