After the smooth andsuccessful conduct of the 69th National School Games in the discipline of U-19Boys Football, and with the Wushu Championship scheduled later this month inSrinagar, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) is now gears up tohost the 69th National School Games in the disciplines of Taekwondo and TableTennis (TT) in Jammu.
The prestigious sportingevent shall commence in Jammu from November nine. To review the ongoingarrangements, Vinakshi Koul, Joint Director, DYSS, Jammu, and organising secretaryof the Games, chaired a review meeting which was attended besides others by MeghaBaogia, Deputy Director (Planning/Activities).
All officers and convenerswere directed to discharge their duties with utmost dedication,professionalism, and commitment, ensuring that every aspect of the Games reflectsexcellence and efficiency.
Detailed deliberationswere held on logistics and hospitality arrangements, particularly focusing onthe comfort and convenience of the visiting teams.
Pertinent to mention herethat around 250 teams with a total participation of over 4000 athletes acrossthe nation are going to take part in all the four sporting disciplines beinghosted by J&K this season.
