The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) has cancelled all orders of transfers, across various cadres working with the department, issued by the authorities which, otherwise, lack the competence to do the job.

Such orders were issued atdifferent point of time by authorities at different level without the consent,knowledge and necessary approval of the competent authority.

The action came in the wake of complaints received by the office of the Director General (DG) DYSS J&K. Acting swiftly, the DG cancelled all such orders issued for transfer, deployment and attachments, informed sources told SAN.

“Whereas, it has been found that many employees of different categories of Lecturers, Masters, Teachers, REKs, NYCs as well as clerical and multi tasking staff working under DYSS have been transferred/deployed/attached by some subordinate officers of this Directorate without approval of the competent authority,” a cancellation order issued by the DG DYSS, Anuradha Gupta mentioned.

The order added saying, “In some cases, inter-district transfers and deployments have also been ordered and it has resulted in an irrational placement of staff in schools and officers thereby affecting the performance of the department.”

Therefore, it was ordered that all such transfers/deployments/attachments shall stand cancelled with immediate effect. Consequently, concerned DDO directed to ensure that salary is not drawn and disbursed in favour of such employees.

Further, the DDOs orderedto accept only the orders issued by the administrative department of DYSSJ&K and those issued by the Directorate of DYSS, J&K.

It was also ordered that after the issuance of this order, the concerned DDOs shall accept only the efile numbered and digitally signed orders of the Directorate to ensure authenticity.
