Bhanu Partap among  76 caught in Doping

International Wushu athlete from J&K, who was in the Asian Games selected list, Surya Bhanu Partap Singh was among 76 top India athletes, who have been provisionally suspended by the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) ahead of the prestigious Asian Games.

Subsequently, Bhanu’s named has been dropped from the Indian Wushu team. It was for the second time in the sporting career that Bhanu has been caught in doping. (Already undergone a four-year ban for doping in China)

On being found positive for the banned substances, all these 76 athletes were provisionally suspended through an order issued by the NADA dated August 20, 2026.

The list of provisionally suspended athletes belongs to the sports disciplines of Athletics (27),Wrestling (eight), Weightlifting (eight), Bodybuilding (eight), Wushu (five),Judo (three), Volleyball (three), Kabaddi, Karate, Kurash, Powerlifting, Roller Sports, Taekwondo, Boxing, Rowing, Kick boxing and Motor Cycle Racing.
