District Bandipur lifted title trophy of the under-17 football tournament which was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at

Khel Goan Nagrota, nearhere today.

In the final, Bandipur defeated Kupwara 5-3 via tie-breaker. The third place went to district Srinagar after the visiting side outplayed district Jammu 3-2 in the hardliner.

In the final and prize distribution function, district (DYSS) officer Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, who presented the title trophies and other individual prizes.

The technical penal in the event comprised Taranpal Singh, Varinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Naveen Singh, Devinder Singh and Somander Singh

Similar competition in two other events of Cricket and Volleyball organized by the DYSS at Udhampur, Rajouri and Srinagar to encourage youth towards popular sports of the Union Territory of J&K.
