Badal Hockey Club Srinagar shall be playing against Guru Nanak Hockey Club Jammu in the final of the ongoing 11th Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub-Junior Men Hockey Championship, organised by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Stadium, here tomorrow.
The final is scheduled to be played at 4 pm, followed by the valedictory function of the tournament.
Earlier, in the semifinals, decided today, Badal Club defeated Bandhurakh Hockey Club at 4-3 via tie-breaker after the match ended in a 2-2 draw in the stipulated time.
Badal Club scored in the 22nd and 58th (Varun) minute of the match while Bandhurakh struck in the 32nd (Sonu) and 48th (Ankit) minute to makeit a drawn game.
In other semifinal, Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club blanked Khalsa Hockey Club 9-0 in a one sided contest. Daksh scored two goals in the 18th and 19th minute while Ramandeep netted the ball in the 22nd minute to help the side take an invincible lead. It was followed by Manpreet, Harmandeep,Tejvir and Prabal, whoa dded one goal each.
Ishan Sharma, businessman and Gurmeet Singh (Chief Engineer retired) were the special guests in today’s semifinals.
The penal of technical officials comprised Kirandeep Singh, Saksham, Minakshi, Jagjeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Geeta.
