The ASMlTA Wushu CityLeague held at Kargil in Leh between August 29 and August 30 with around 90athletes from different blocks of Kargil district participating in the special competition.

The event was organisedunder the aegis of the Wushu Association of India, with the Wushu Associationof Ladakh conducting the championship at the local level.

Prof. Bilques Fatima,Nutritionist, graced the occasion as the chief huest. She appreciated the youngathletes for their participation and highlighted the importance of propernutrition, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle for achieving excellence insports.

Earlier, the ASMlTA WushuCity League for Leh was successfully held in the month of August this year,witnessing the participation of around 70 athletes. Dr. Stanzin Gyatso attendedthe event as the chief guest and encouraged the participants to continueworking hard and pursue excellence in sports.

The successfulorganisation of the City Leagues in both Kargil and Leh provided an importantplatform for young Wushu athletes of Ladakh to showcase their talent andcompetitive skills.

The Wushu Association ofLadakh expressed its gratitude to the Wushu Association of India, guests,officials, coaches, athletes and all those who contributed towards thesuccessful conduct of the ASMlTA Wushu City Leagues in Leh and Kargil.
