All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association (AJKCA) organize under-seven and under-nine chess (boys and girls) Championships at Hotel Nek Below Gumat, here.

The under-nine boys title bagged by Rushank Sharma, while Manveer Singh bagged silver and Ridhaan Sharma finished third. Similarly, the under-seven boys title won by Avyan Gupta. The second place secured by Ridhaan Sharma while Dhairya Sharma remained third.

The girls under-nine title secured by Raesha Thothla, while Pavia Gupta bagged silver and Aavya Gupta finished third to contain with bronze.

In under-seven girls event, Pavika Gupta bagged gold; Aavya Gupta silver and Evisha Kharyal, bronze.

The event held under the aegis of J&K Sports Council.  Arvindu was chief arbiter of the event.  Now, top two players each category shall represent J&K UT in forthcoming Nationals, a handout issued here today informed.
