North India Karate Champ gets underway

Organised by the Associationof Karate Jammu and Kashmir, the Ist North India Karate Championship gotunderway at Indoor Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here today.

Around 300 participantsfrom five different North Indian states have reported for participation in Karateinvolving two events of Kata and Kumite.

The championship wasdeclared open by chief patron of the Association, KK Gupta, who was chief guest.Laxman Prasad, CEO Karate Association of India has arrived as observer.

The organising team ofAssociation included Amit Singh (secretary general), Vikas Dhar (treasurer),Amit Gupta (AKJK adviser), Surjeet Dogra (organiser) and Abhimanyu Singh Charak(technical director AKJK) were also present.
