Hosts JKP men win 2 medals in Canoeing

Hosts Jammu and KashmirPolice won their first gold to  make it atally of two on day-three of the ongoing 23rd All India Police Water SportsChampionship at the Back Lawn of SKICC, here today.

The gold came in C-2 1000meters through the duo of Moisar Ahmad Bhat and Mubashir Hussain. Second placein this event went to BSF (L.Sidartha Singh and Salam Radhakanta Singh) while ITBP(Sagar Dattatray Nagre and Anand Patel) remained third.

The JKP won their secondmedal in the shape of a Bronze in C-4 1000 meters event. The team:  Adil Mohi-ud-din Bhat, Imitiyaz Hussain, MoisarAhmad Bhat and Aquib Hussain. The Gold won clinched by BSF (Amar Laishram, GaneshYadu, Nameirakpam Nganthoi and Gode Vishal Madan) while  ITBP  (ParminderSingh, Gurbakses Singh, T.Johnson Singh and O.Rabikantha Singh) bagged Silver.

In women events, the SSBand ITBP teams dominated thus won maximum medals in both individual and teamevents.

Khalil Poswal-SSP,Commandant JKAP-9th Bn was the chief guest, who presented medals to the winnersin the presence of Kuldeep Handoo (DySP) Sports APHQ.
